League Settings & Rules

Hello Everyone-I have renewed the Bowling for Dollars League. This is a strategy contest that will follow the 2025 2026 College Bowls and NCAAF Playoffs culminating with the National Championship game on 01-19-26. Here is my Commish memo. A message from your commish Welcome to the "Bowling for Dollars" contest. This a 2025 NCAAF College Football Bowl Player Picker contest. The goal is to win prizes based on the most points scored by the end of the contest. Points are earned based on the on field performance of the players you select with the scoring system applied to thier performance. Scoring is standard with the addition of 1 point for a player that you select whos team wins the bowl games in which he participates. The entry fee is 30.00 dollars per entry. You may enter as many times as you like. The top five will win cash prizes. The approx percentage payouts will be 60/20/10/7/3. The season will start with the Cricket Celebration Bowl on 12-13-25 at 12 noon. EDT. and will end with the College Football National Championship game on 01-19-26. There will be 5 or 6 scoring periods. Exact periods will be set soon once all dates/times are finalized. This is a contest of strategy. You may start a player only once and you may not use him again after that start. The duration of the start is that of the scoring period. Who do you start? Who do you save for later rounds? Depending on how well you use your strategy will determine your results. The deadline for the first scoring period picks is 12-13-25 at 11:00 am edt. The entry fee payment deadline is 12-13-25. There are no trades. This year there is a beta system in place that is called the System Auto Substitute -where the system will automatically substitute players who opt into the Portals or NFL camps and drop out of the Bowl Games. There are now 15 bench players (one for each start position) where the Auto Sub will draw from if needed. There are 15 roster spots. Season two should be great as we now have a system in place to deal with the portal madness.
